But their Monday night trip to Dallas comes as the rival Cowboys (1-4) are reeling, having lost two in a row.
They would seem to have plenty of talent, but they lack an identity. Sure, there is the talented quarterback Tony Romo.
On defense, DeMarcus Ware is a sack artist (will the Giants use Shawn Andrews, who has been useful in run-blocking situations, to bolster their offensive line in pass protection?). But for some reason, the Cowboys have not been able to put it all together. Owner Jerry Jones has publicly supported Coach Wade Phillips, but if Dallas continues to play poorly despite having the highest payroll in the N.F.L., the questions is: How long his confidence will last?
